A DIVINE AGE

'Twas an age without any pain,
An age when I was totally free,
'Tis why I long to be a child again.

When gloomy clouds - nowhere to see,
And the smiling sun shone brightly,
'Twas an age without any pain.

'Cause making castles by the sea,
Never got me to be lonely,
'Tis why I long to be a child again.

When death didn't enter my vocabulary,
And when departure wasn't so eerie,
'Twas an age without any pain.

'Cause then love wasn't merely money,
'Twas something delightful yet funny,
'Tis why I long to be a child again.

'Twas an age of divinity,
'Twas an age of serenity,
'Twas an age without any pain,
'Tis why I long to be a child again.
Tensions and worries clouding up in the modern world of competetion makes one wish to be a child again. So, this desire appears in the form of a vilanelle. (Repost)
